1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

What conditions would be placed for dispensation from this trust?

Perhaps we should end this thread by shattering the insular cocoons some SF posters appear to live in.
The following was a viral website a few years back. This is the level of class division that permeates the USA.

Well said. There was no judgement being made, just distinctions.
Anyone who inferred otherwise is simply projecting their own biases.

ITT people thinking that being classy or having class, or a lack thereof, means the same thing as low/middle/upper class. The former being an adherence to social norms, conducting and presenting yourself in a tasteful manner and the latter being a socioeconomic classification.

I vouch that this is a fair representation - good work.

Anyway, in context, I have lost the point of this thread now :puzzled: .

Ok, so a GED cashier who wears a monocle and says "Pardon me" is upper class?

No. I am pointing out that others seem to think that having class necessarily follows socioeconomic class, which is not true.

People use the word "class" in different contexts to mean different things.
But I would say what you described above is a very narrow-minded and superficial way of categorizing a "dude" as "lower class" or "upper class".

Would that provide him enough net worth to buy $500 shoes?

Have you checked them for signs or symptoms of plebs? It can be contagious, and if they've come into contact, who knows what sort of classless behaviors it could cause? The infection must be quelled at the source. I trust you will use all tools necessary to purge the trust of any impropriety.

I've noticed this too. I have a pair of really nice sneakers- they simply say Ralph Lauren (in cursive). The quality is above the Polo sneakers, and they don't plaster any logos over it or anything.
