Cobblers: A dying breed

My cobbler does fine work, but he's aproximately 176 years old and runs the shop on his own. Are cobblers taking apprentices? Who will be fixing our shoes 40 years from now?

no time at all, just made it up right now... Such skill is a byproduct of being around the DT cesspool for too long.

The factory they came from. Or, even better, the cordwainer who made them.

Sad to say, it is a dying profession. Many of the stuff we buy nowadays are disposable. Don't be surprise we will eventually need to mail the shoes many miles / km in order to get a good cobbler to fix them.
