If I’m not mistaken, they are discontinuing this model with non-beveled waist hence the low price.Beautiful pair! I’m a little more partial to their City and Louvre lasts because I’m a bit of a sucker for the beveled waist even though it serves no functional purpose! I wish it were a more standard feature across all their leather bottomed shoes.
Fifth Avenue is a shoe I never understood being so low priced from AE. It's easily one of their best models and the oxblood version is my favorite AE owned shoe and I don't see that changing ever. Some pictures next to a fifth ave…

I agree. They go on sale maybe twice a year for less than $200. I’ve been eyeing on the dark chili one.Fifth Avenue is a shoe I never understood being so low priced from AE. It's easily one of their best models and the oxblood version is my favorite AE owned shoe and I don't see that changing ever.
Not sure about resoling but you’re probably right. My cobbler charges an extra $100 for a closed channel resole but I never asked about the bevel waist. Haven’t needed a resole on any of my shoes that have it yet. I do know some of the newer lasts have a flat waist. If I’m not mistaken, they are discontinuing this model with non-beveled waist hence the low price.
Doesn’t it cost more for a beveled waist to be resoled?
Nice! Wear them in good health!Park a..what’s that called again? lol.
Never AE again for me, although I said that before
Extremely satisfied so far out of the box. No flaws seen yet. Love the three pairs I have so far. Can’t wait to give it some shine tomorrow!

It takes 1-3 months in my experience to restock. Sizing for my E width foot is dependent on last. On City and Louvre I wear 0.5 US size up. So 11E AE os 11.5 CU. On 312 it’s same as my AE size. Consider ordering two sizes and returning the one that doesn’t work.I was almost ready to buy Robert on the EU site, but looks like my size is sold out. Does anyone know if the refills happen often? Also, in terms of sizing, how do they compare to AE sizing?
