Hi,

I somehow got a $250 store credit at Cobbler Union and I'm trying to decide what to buy.

I'm thinking of buying one of the three following shoes:
(1) a black wholecut oxford
https://www.cobbler-union.com/colle...t-whole-cut-oxford-french-full-grain-calfskin
(2) a cognac/dark brown patina whole cut oxford
https://www.cobbler-union.com/collections/the-oxfords/products/miquel-v
(3) some fancy monks
https://www.cobbler-union.com/collections/the-monks/products/romi?variant=21440375366
(4) possibly some boots

I have about five pairs of dress shoes and three pairs of boots. I want something that I will actually wear given how I dress to work, and will not be redundant.

At work about half the people dress business casual, and the other half more formal. I sometimes wear suits, but I can actually wear jeans and a T-shirt at least once a week. I've started wearing my suits less often, and instead wearing a nice pair of pants, such as Zanella or Incotex, with a white shirt, blazer and tie.

My current dress shoes the following:

Plus, I have a the following boots: (1) Wolverine 1000 miles black (2) tan chukka (3) dark brown chelsea.

Any suggests would be great.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
