Coat Lengths?

I'm looking into peacoats, and was wondering what the difference between a 42R and a 42L would be: would the 42L simply be longer? Or would it also be wider at certain parts of the coat... I just wanted a longer coat...

Also, what do you guys think of this coat?

The sleeves will be longer on the 42L as well.

The Lauren line does not have a good reputation. Also, the coat looks boxy, and the percentages of its materials are unclear.

I think it looks unattractive in both texture and (especially) shape.
