Hi, I recently purchased a briefcase from Coach. It comes with two "handtags", as indicated in the picture I've attached. My question is whether I'm supposed to remove them or leave them on. Personally I think they're nice, but I'm afraid it looks tacky. What's the rule here? For what it's worth, I carry this to work as a lawyer in Manhattan. Thanks.

Tacky. However, you may be able to grant them a second life as lures (maybe attached to a long length of twine) for the spray tan crowd.

You're really asking this question? It's YOUR bag, which you paid for with YOUR money. You can do with it whatever you want.

Personally, I would have taken those suckers off in two seconds flat. They are advertising pieces for the store, or for people who want their bag to scream COACH OMG OMG CoACh!!! Twice. It's like people who leave the "GUCCI" tag on the sleeve of their suits.

Take them off. They aren't luggage tags.

Remove them for a professional environment.

Okay to leave them on for college classes or vacations.
