do you guys in the united states get richard quest in cnn usa? he's like the poster boy of cnn international, but imo he's an annoying "wan-kah". though his style is above average as compared to the other cnn personalities.

His voice is at times coarse and annoying but his stories, especially in the "business traveller" section is quite entertaining.

And he does seem to dress better than the others.

Now there's a dude who makes the most monotonous news interesting. He also did a piece on the differences between Savile Row and Italian tailoring, including a visit to Caraceni. Good juju.

half the time he's on TV, i can't figure out if he's sober or not...

i think it goes to show that you can dress well but that ultimately, the man makes the clothes.

Very true. He's rarely on the American CNN, but since a lot of people in the US now get CNN International as well, a fair number of people know who he is. Whenever I travel in Europe, it's his voice that I usually hear on the hotel television. Fun, at first. Then, really annoying.

Having seen him "over there" and in the US, I think he turns it up a notch for American audience. And he dresses better than that creepy Jack Cafferty.

Hahahaha I love this guy. He only comes on American CNN sometimes, but I always try and catch him. He's hilarious, always completely hyperactive. I was in Africa on vacation for a month, and I only watched CNN International so I could see him. And yes, I knew Cooper is a Vanderbilt, whatever that's worth nowadays.

I often find his business reporting puerile, and for a while he was doing his tie knots bigger than an Etonian schoolboy's. But he did a good job anchoring CNNI's coverage of the 2004 US election. Probably better than Wolf et al. did here.

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
