Not crazy about the color. And for that price, I think you could probably do better.

What am I missing? How was it only $15?

I know this is an obscure question in the summer. But does anyone know if they carry the Wolverine 1000 Mile boots in their stores? or is in just online? If not during this season, in the fall/winter? I planned on popping into one of their stores, just wondering if anyone knew here.

I think it's available in stores, but probably only the flagship locations.

They had them out at Eaton Centre in the past few months as well.

Good luck trying to find a place to try them on or an SA to help you with them!

yeah, I saw them at Eatons a few days ago. Actually the Bloor store's pretty good with service since the men's shop is downstairs so the staff aren't as busy and the stockroom is right there (can't even tell you the number of times I ran up and down those stairs looking for stock when I worked there and the mens was located on the main floor).

Thanks for all of the responses, as this way I have lots of options.

Here's to hoping a size 13 fits well, as I'm usually a 14 in most other offerings and those don't seem to exist around here. Apparently they run a bit large so I may be in luck.

Wish I could find some of the linen shorts in navy. Sold out on the website.

Is the Eaton Centre not a flagship? I thought it's selection was better than some of the other mall locations?

Eaton centre, Bloor street and Yorkdale are flagship stores in Toronto

Edit - Yorkdale gets more 3rd party stuff than Eaton centre, but not much on sale items. Eaton centre gets less 3rd party stuff than Yorkdale but has a huge sale section.

I never been to the Bloor street location

Popped into Yorkdale today and checked the 1000 mile's out in person. Beautiful looking boots, and really solid feeling leather. Unfortunately they only carry up to a size 11.5 in all of their stores apparently. I failed in my attempt to try them there, and the Bay didn't have anything larger than a 12 either.

On a side note, one of their employees said they sized down 1 1/2 sizes, which exceeds the typical recommendation of a half size.

Saw some nice "crocodile" chinos in the process but resisted the temptation. Wasn't a complete failure.

The Bloor location is the nicest looking CM store in Canada, IMO. It's in a historic U of T building. Also the least busy. I used to work there and there were shifts when I would be lucky to have five people in total come into the mens store, which was situated in the tiny basement. Their selection is about the same as the Eaton Centre location, but from what I saw at other locations Bloor Street seems to put more stress on customer service than most other stores. You can get away with pretty much anything as a customer (or shoplifter).

I've been to the one on bloor st a few times, back when it had the mens stuff upstairs to the right and then when it moved to the basement, honestly its been my impression that there was more mens stuff back when it was upstairs, easier to browse too, lighting was better, etc.,,,, its probably still the best for mens stuff in toronto, aside from the non-cm items pretty much everything is there and crowd free.
