Seems like most of the button-ups in the new collection are "classic" fit and not "slim". Shame.

it really depends, but they will drop the price till it sells. that means you might have to go all the time to make sure they still have it.

If the the price is in red, I think that's as low as it gets.

    Hi guys,

I swung into the Mall of America CM yesterday and picked up a few button-up shirts. I'm 5'6" and the extra small slim fit shirts fit me incredibly well everywhere but length. The bottom of the shirt contours very similar to my dress shirts (no surprise), but I'd like to wear them casually, untucked. The BR slim fit shirts have the ideal length I'm looking for.

Question: If I bring the shirt in to get hemmed, can the tailor change the "shape" of the contoured bottom? For instance, I would like the very front and back of the shirt hemmed about 2 inches (so it doesn't look like I'm wearing a dress when they're untucked), but the sides of the shirt I would like to remain the length they are. I appreciate any info. Thanks all.

Yes it can be done, and yes I have that problem too. Tell a tailor to shorten the hem in the front and back 1-2" and leave the sides alone so the taper is less aggressive.

Just be careful that you don't shorten the front too much, so that the bottom button ends up too close to the hem.

Nice pick up RKD. Was eyeing that too. Wish the pattern was the entire tie. I think CM has solids accessories when it comes to their ties. I own like 3-4 of them

yeah i never gave them much thought for accessories, but was looking through the sales rack and a lot of their ties are pretty solid for a really cheap price

although my dad always jokes that Made in X doesnt mean anything anymore if its made in the streets or in the ghetto or by foreigners in that country lol

Great news for me b/c I'm a huge fan of their 'classic fit'. I'm really glad to see it making a comeback after almost completely disappearing during the summer. I wonder if they brought it back for the F/W line because the roomier fit lends itself better to layering?

Now if only they started making their trousers in a 29 waist...

I was at Bloor today. There are a handful of new pieces out. Some of the blazers look particularly choice. The collar on the oxfords looks to have shrunk some.

Try the Queen location. I think I might have saw some there. Although I was disappointed in the last shirt I tried on. Even sizing down, it still felt boxy.

i donno.. I used to shop at CM when their sales were like crazy, and their stuff were more than reasonable for its prices.. but more and more, their prices have been skyrocketing up to the point where I get turned off and just walk out of their store empty handed.. I wonder wtf the CEO of the company is thinking.. with THAT price, I'll just resort to some real high end brand.. seriously. it's Club Monaco, for god's sake.
