It's been a while since I've posted here, but I'm having problems finding information and I figured asking here was worth a shot.
I've got a peacoat I'm quite fond of, and the lining is shredded in several places (Pictures below - it's also got some shredding on the insides of the sleeves).
If I were still living in DC, I'd have no problem figuring out where to take it to get an estimate and maybe get it repaired. Unfortunately, these days I'm living in rural Japan, about three hours south of Osaka.
Osaka, however, is a pretty darned big city. There has GOT to be somewhere trustworthy I can take my coat to. So, first off: Does anyone know of a good tailor I can take this to for repairs? Katsura hardly seems the type of store to repair a peacoat for me.
Second, how much might I expect to pay for repairs like this? Is it worth doing, or should I just suck it up and buy another peacoat?
