the above posts are correct indeed. Regrettably because the 'embargo' runs in both directions (be it goods or information), in the US we deem Cuba to be stuck pre-59 (true for most Cuban-Americans and Americans) with the linen suits and fedoras in which case it's like wearing a tuxedo to work in the US/CA. Stick to simple with a mild sprezzatura if you must. In light of the needs of the populace anything else will be deemed inappropriate which is something I don't believe you intend.
