Is there such a thing as a clip-type apparatus that could be used to downsize a pair of pants while dieting and reaching a weight-loss goal? For example, when I started dieting, I wore 44-inch waist pants. I am now down to 38s and counting. Before I buy new pants, I would like to adjust my current ones until I reach my weight-loss goal.

You could use one of those large clips for documents to "take in" your pants from the inside. I guess .. ? TJ Maxx is your friend until you stabilize.

Thats a tough one to deal with. I read in Esquire that Mike Huckabee had the exact same problem on the campaign trail. You can only have your tailor taken in pants so much before your pack pockets are touching each other. Beyond that, just buy some cheapo clothing for the transition period.
