I am developing a contemporary clothing brand with streetwear aesthetics. It will initially start as menswear. The design and pattern process has begun and I am looking for someone who will bring expertise in the areas in which I am inexperienced at. Someone who shares the same vision as me and can help handle the business side. Below are some qualifications I am looking for.

Business Experience.
Understands logistics, Manufacturing, Controlling Stock.
Fluent in accounting.
Committed to succeed in fashion
Can provide financial investment
A go getter

No offense, but you are not looking for just a partner, but for a guide, a mentor and an investor. In any equitable arrangement, that partner would hold the lion's share of the company. That's typically the way things work. The person who provides the capital owns most of the company. Compounded that this person would be essentially expected to run the company.

Seriously, no matter what you product is, you will need some serious incentives for such a person to want to work with you. Right now, with all that other person's role taken out, there is not that much that YOU are offering to the company.

I appreciate your honest reply. Based off your response, it seems I may have misinformed and I will revise my initial post.

Everything you said would be beneficial. But I am not really looking for a mentor. I have plenty of funds for the startup, but it would be favorable if a partner provided financial funding. I avoided providing comprehensive information regarding the startup only until someone replies with interest. I was hoping to at least attract other young, motivated individuals who are interested in working in the fashion business.

Great question Powerlifter-ir - I was thinking the same thing. Unless you are offering something really unique and new, the clothing business is pretty hard to break into. I've seen lots of success stories on SharkTank, etc but these were mostly into T-Shirts. People want clothing for the brand / quality but also new style. You need all three. Like Desigual or Ted Baker. At least share some designs or something.
