Closing Locker Rooms to Reports (NFL Harrassment Scandal)

Okay, as there are no individual threads on this and I believe it deserves one, what do you guys think of the scandal involving NY Jets players and female reporter, Ines Sainz while the media were interviewing players in the Jet's locker room? Since in many U.S. sports the locker room is open to journalists and women must have the same access as their male counterparts (otherwise they lose out on access to quotes and stuff), I perfectly understand why they go in. But isn't it asking for trouble? Even if all athletes are on their best behaviour it only takes one guy to say something stupid.

So shouldn't locker rooms be closed to the media and teams organize "informal" post game junkets were fully dressed players are interviewed by reporters? Less formal than a press conference but less likelihood for embarrassment.

I think it's ridiculous that anyone is allowed in the locker room. Nobody's allowed in a WNBA locker room, male or female, so nobody should be allowed in a men's locker room either. It's just stupid. I agree there should be a separate interview room.

Some guys catcalled in a locker room? WTF did you expect?

This is a complete non-story. Sainz is not a real journalist, and was dressed unprofessionally. Not surprised to see her treated unprofessionally.

It's called locker room talk for a reason.

Side note, she is hot, would hit.

No one would of cared if some jealous female reporter didn't report the kind of attention and comments Sainz received.

Should of never made the news.

This is what happens when people are forced to pretend that men and women are exactly the same.

Not at the skill positions, which are all that matter.

Well, other than Sanchez, who sucks cock and doesn't deserve to be mentioned.
