Closest place to Austin to get raw denim?

[Caveat]

I know Upstairs/Downstairs sometimes has some, but I checked last week and they are out. Any other Austin stores carry raw denim? I'm looking for my first pair so I'm wary of buying online. I will be in Dallas before long. I'm assuming some place there will carry it...?

Ralph Lauren has an outlet in Round Rock. I've forgotten shop names after a few afternoon drinks here, but head to The Domain for a smorgasbord of overpriced shops selling designer jeans. I actually saw some nice Nudie raw denim for sale in one of the shops there, last month. You can at least figure out sizing there and then order from Context or another online retailer. Also don't forget Levis 514 raw, for value!

Yeah, I was at Diesel in the Domain today. Didn't go anywhere else. Got a pair of Diesel jeans (Zatiny) for $140. Mistake? (Fashion noob for the most part.)

Didn't check the last time I was there, but I believe Barneys Co-op at San Marcus carry a few forum-approved denim as well.

Can you give me a quick list of the forum approved brands?

yah. they're tearing it down to build condos.

it's not your typical trailer park, though.

grundletaint- What is your experience with HEM? They got some scathing reviews online about the pricing and no-return policy. Seems like they are really good at pointing you to the right pair of jeans though.

Bows+Arrows carry APC New Standards and are nice folks to boot.

PP- Not just any trailer park, it's a trailer park in the most prime real estate in Austin. Rumor has it more than one movie star has a setup in there for slumming it.

What does HEM have in stock? I pass by 12th and lamar 5 times a week and I've never heard or seen of this place..

the Polo Outlet is one of the few that carries RRL denim at a very reasonable price. the only place I know at the domain that has any decent denim is the barney's co-op which carries nudie, r&b, and APC but nothing too fancy.

No, they actually don't. They only carry sevens, true religion, diesel, and some old paper denim and cloth. San Marcos outlet doesn't have any decent denim retailers as far as I know.
