Cleaning rubber cement from suede shoe? :(

A drop of rubber cement fell on my shoe yesterday. I purchased a crepe rubber cement lifter (eraser) and have rubbed the area, but nothing is happening, the glue is stuck into the suede too much to come off.

Can anyone recommend a solvent or something similar to break the glue down?

Thanks.

post photos please. Rubber cement should just peel off when its dry. Try a dry toothbrush but not too rough.

Try a ruber suede eraser, if not, take them to a cobbler.

Is a lot better. There is still discoloration but its contrast is much lower. Will poast photos when dry.
