Cleaning out my medicine cabinet

OK -

I've decided that I'm not going to buy any more grooming products until I use up those already in my medicine cabinet....

That means don't replace my empty bottle of American Crew Texture Creme until I use up the squeeze bottle of Short Sexy Hair I bought a few months ago on a whim...

Finish up the tube of plain old unflavored Crest toothpaste I had to buy at a hotel shop a few years back when I forgot to pack that item on a business trip - no minty-fresh flavor for a while...

And no new cologne purchases until the bottles of Old Spice, Bernini Sport, Polo and Drakkar Noir are empty... I'll just go old school in my tastes for a while...

I might even go back to shaving with a Gillette Sensor Excel for a few weeks when I run out of Mach 3 cartridges until I'm completely out of both types...

Shampoo - hah - I can probably go for a few years!

I'm sure there's more stuff that I will find as I start this project.

Anybody else ever do something like this?

I buy a fair amount of cosmetic products, but I always use them up before buying something new. So to answer your question, it's not an ongoing project for me, but the manner in which I consume.
