clean sole on desert boot?

the leather has aged nicely, but the sole looks perma dirty, wasnt sure that was the plan.

Obviously you have to throw them out, immediately. No gentleman of stature would be seen wearing dirty soled desert boots.

What these gents are trying to say is...this has been covered before. Try using the search function. However, short of that, any product with bleach in it (preferrably a powder with some grit, ala bathroom products) and a scrub pad will do the trick.

Use a lightsaber to shave off the dirty part. This only works a couple times and for only a few days before there's no sole left since it will get dirty as soon as you step off a carpet.

I didnt wear them all summer and noticed today when I pulled them out, they never seemed that dirty before, whatever. guess they will survive regardless.

though I am going to say uncle to simmer the sarcasm, lol.

Btw that black dirt or whatever it is won't really track anywhere you walk. At least not from what I've seen. It would probably turn a white carpet brown over a longer period of time though.

I was told to use something slightly acidic to clean the soles of mine, and another friend recommended using my own urine to clean them. It's so clean after all!

It worked well!

I advise you to give it a go, and post pictures.
