Classic but trendy Hobbyist clothing?

Anyone out there who has some classic looking fishing gear?

I am a newbie to fly rod fishing but when I start I want to look the part as if I have been fly rod fishing my entire life.

I have done every kind of fishing you could think of except fly rod fishing....
So yeah so partial poseur.... Ha!

When out fishing, someone who's been at it a long time will know to wear polarised sunglasses ... not the fashionable ones that get good marks around here, but big wrap-around ones that (a) keep out all the sun even from the side, and (b) make sure that if you take a facefull of flyline on a backcast, you won't be using your eyeball as bait.

Other than that, wear whatever old crappy clothes you use for doing yardwork and such.

Fly fishing is very different from other types of fishing. Your prior experience will probably work against you initially.

I primarily fish streams in Montana during the summer. I have an Orvis vest to hold spare flies, tippet and tools, and various synthetic or blend outdoor wear from Columbia and the like. The clothes get trashed pretty much each time out so they are pretty cheap and easy to replace. I share boots and waders with my father and can't recall who makes either. In addition to sunglasses a good hat is a must. You will probably need some rain wear too.
