I hope this isn't better suited to SW&D but I spend my time on this forum and people really know their shoes here.

I'm looking at getting a good pair of trainers. Preferably white. Looking at the Barker Seb, which has bologna stitching and look pretty sweet.

Can anyone recommend any other similar brands with this style?

And is it a mad idea getting them in white? Are they just going to scuff like any other white leather shoes and look a shadow of themselves after a summer?

I am not a sneakerhead but personally not a fan of the ones you posted. If you want something like that you should just get New Balances rather than a "Classic Menswear" interpretation.

If you are looking for white leather trainers then two of the classic models are the Common Projects Achilles

or the German Army Trainer (GAT). You can find replicas from a number of vendors such as Maison Margiela or Beckett Simonon.

I have a pair of GATs; I like them. I don't need them to look pristine but I also wouldn't wear them trekking on a muddy hiking trail either.
