Clarks Desert boots with a more pointed toe. Only available in Europe and Asia. Has anybody seen or tried these on? My parents are leaving for London tomorrow and I am thinking about asking them to pick me up a pair but I don't know anything about the fit. Here's a link:

Much better than the original.

Sorry. I don't get it. "Owes much to the Originals..."

Makes me go: "What the **** is wrong with the Originals?"

Heh. Nothing wrong with the originals. Ignore the marketspeak. :)

I like these. If I ever get another pair of desert boots I might have to get the brown suede PTs.

"Clark PTDBs" ?

The shape of toe box is what is wrong with the originals. It's way too round and down right inelegant. I really like desert boots in general, but I have never liked Clark's original Desert boot. These however, at least in the picture, look much better.

Seriously? I just don't see that. Maybe I do.

I guess my point is that the desert boot original seems like it's a difficult thing to improve on. To me, at least, it seems perfect. It worked for Steve McQueen, after all. It's classic. Why change a classic? It's like saying the John Coltrane's Favorite Things LP doesn't sound good because it wasn't recorded with today's technology.

Sorry. I still don't see it.

I see life a change, but knowing where you came from.

These actually look good, they seem to have been on the market at least a year now. Wish they'd stock 'em stateside. The model name of them is a little amusing, but I think this is a neat direction.

It looks like I may have to just take my chances. I'll submit a consumer report.

Originals are a lot better IMO. Classic for a reason, as they say.

I like both, the originals look more casual and the point look more fashion-forward, imo desert boots are meant to be beat up and worn casually with cords or denim, but I think both look great, I would like to try these on in person tho, too bad they arent avail here

I don't really see that big a difference?
Judging from the pair I have in real life and those pics...

Much better last shape from above, "Fran." But it's the line of the vamp viewed from the side that bugs me about both models.
