I recently scored a size 12 Harris Tweed 60th anniversary pair of DB's and they are just so fresh. I'm not even sure if I'll ever wear them, but they are aces.. http://www.freshnessmag.com/wp-conte...01-570x570.jpg

Well I spilled some sauce from a japanese beef dish all over my beeswax desert boots. I proceeded to use water to get all the sauce off then a dry paper towel to remove the water. I definitely stripped off some of the color so it looks different now. Actually i dig it though

Actually, you have stumbled onto the time-honored Oriental Beef Sauce Beeswax Conditioning Rite. Revel in its wonders.

I should have researched here more. I measure 9.5 at the shoe store and guess what- these were too big. Going with the 9s and keeping my fingers crossed. Living in the middle of nowhere sucks for buying shoes. PSA- Just listed these on ebay (can't post in FS as I'm a noob Reserve is set at $50 as these are like new. Questions? Anyone here ever treat their beeswax DBs with a coat of Obenaufs LP? Wondering if I should, they've been beaten up for about a year and a half.

Yes. They will considerably darken. Doesn't look bad, just much darker. I liked them better before...but any conditioner will darken them, and they definitely like the conditioning.

Yeah, they definitely needed it. The back of the shoe was especially dry. Going to let it soak in a little more, then I'm going to apply a tiny bit on the inside.

Do most people size their suede db's the same as the beeswax? I have beeswax in 9.5 and love the fit, but wondering if the suede will stretch significantly more (warranting maybe a 9). Thx.

Btw, I would love to see pics of beeswax after the Obenauf's conditioning. Mine will need it eventually and I'm curious what to expect.
