Hi everyone

I'm a 20 year old student from Belgium and I'm going into my last year of applied computer science.
In my second semester I need to do an internship and I would like to do this abroad.
I need to tell my school what my preferences are (country, city, ...) and they will help me find a company.

I have been thinking about doing this in the USA and was wondering if you could recommend me some cities.
I've been in New York and really liked it there and I'm looking for similar cities.

What I want:
- A big, modern city
- With good public transportation
- Where people are friendly
- Where you can see lots of different sorts of people / styles
- Where people care about what they wear / how they look
- Where you have a lot of culture
- Where you can do a lot of things
- Lots of stores
- That doesn't get boring after a few weeks (my internship is 12 weeks if I'm not mistaken)
- ...

edit: Forgot to mention I think it's from +- half february till half may

For CS, San Francisco, NYC and Boston would be the best tech markets that are livable without a car. Washington DC's problem is a lot of the tech stuff is actually in Northern Virginia sprawl that may require a car
