no, because you've never had anything come back to haunt you. all it took was one e-mail that got away for me to become born-again.

Word. There was a time a year or so ago that I started thinking that someday, when I was older, and hopefully in a rather prestigious restaurant/job, a lot of this stuff could come back to bite me **********. But at that point, I was 18,000 content-void posts in, and figured it was too late.

I would make one exception to the anti-sock rule: If the sock is really, really funny. A while back, someone created SF IDs for Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, and a few other major designers. The odds of any of these guys posting on SF is very remote, but these socks had a few members going for awhile.

The rich Jewish wife/father in law bit was extraordinarily distasteful. There is no place on here for ppl like that.

Stalker-y, given the source of that mythology was on another, far more virulent, and clothing-unrelated forum on which foo used to post years ago.

Sure, but not racist. Just rude.

I guess my real problem is throwing the word racist around. In our culture racism is about the worst insult you can lob someone's way and I'm loath to over use it.

You don't think that playing on the stereotype of the rich Jewish princess whose father picks up all the bills is racist? Why was "Jewish" even part of the sentence then?

A Persian or Arab with ADD who makes a stalker-y joke referencing a Jewish stereotype for the non-Jewish wife of a Chinese-American seems less racism and more dumb cluster ****.
