I have a case of LFD double ligero chisels, as well as some other goodies from LFD I'm waiting on - some 5.5x42 (lonsdale?) and some 4x34 little cigars. Been working hard on my garden and I'm looking forward to kicking back with some smokes when the nice weather kicks in!

Double corona and Churchill sizes are normally too long a smoke for me but since news of discontinuation I thought I'd better get a 5er of a few to try before committing to boxes.First try on this VR DA-the only disappointment here is why this is on that list!?![IMG][IMG]

Been wanting to give these a try since I got them from the island. If it wasn't the fact that this is underfilled and crappy burn it would be a fantastic cigar.Great flavour, just hope the few I have left are better!

Ordered a box of Bolivars from very reputable source and goddamned if the first 3 I have had have suffered from awful burn issues, squishy and just overall awful flavor. I know I'll take hits for saying it, but this is the reason I prefer NC to CC almost 9 times in 10..

Smoking a My Father Le Bijou at the moment that is just absolute perfection..

Anyone ever try the CAO Amazon Basin? Damn fine cigar, and a bargain at about $8 or so. I swear, I taste a faint hint of raisin in these..

There are some out there that believe we are in a dark time for Cuban cigars that began with late 2015 box codes. Ugly wrappers, way underfilled filler on many boxes coming out, etc. These same people do have a vested interest in these doomsday prophecies, but there is possibly at least some truth to their words.

I don't know if I necessarily believe it all, but I have the back stock right now to wait it out. I want to get my hands on some more montecarlos and stock up on some good ELs and REs but I need to either acquire more space or make space by smoking more. We'll see if either happens.

I have a box of the 2016 Amazon Basin blend and a couple of the originals left. Loved the originals but haven't had time to crack into the new box yet, which I got for a steal. Really promising that you're digging them!

I haven't actually smoked a cigar in months, a Padron 1964. Will hopefully get time and the right place to smoke a few this holiday weekend. I have a number of CC's that I've been meaning to try out, so I'll bring a few along.

Agree on NC , but they have became more expensive than CC. Sometimes it is hard to justify buying them. Variety is what I appreciate in NC vs. CC the flavor profiles are completely different.

BTW, avoid anything with the ring "Open Eagle" some sort of golf limited edition from Cuba. Not good. Seem to be lower quality filler and flavor is on the harsh/dirty side.

I guess it depends on the NC. My go to is the My Father Le Bijou and I can usually find churchills for around $11 a pop or so. Most of the NC I smoke are in the $8 to $10 area, and I find it hard if not impossible to find a CC for less.
