1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Does anyone know what the fines are for breaking the Trading with the Enemy Act anyways, or do they just confiscate and destroy (smoke) your goods?

Technically, you could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. However, nobody seems to get that punishment. You may get a threatening letter and confiscation of the goods but that is about it.

Customs sends you a letter saying the shipment has been confiscated under the Trading with the enemy act. I have had one box confiscated and my brother has had one confiscated and we were not fined or prosecuted etc.

I guess if the order is a large one (10+ boxes at a time) then they may prosecute, but otherwise you just loose the cigars. Most mail order places guarantee delivery and they send another box for free.

You could order 20+ boxes and they still ain't prosecuting. They caught my credit card transaction from a vendor in Hong Kong and sent me a letter. Funny, I got the cigars but they just noticed the transaction. Lots of guys got this letter when they breached this vendor's credit card-related transactions.

I just think they have more important stuff to focus on.

^^^ do you keep a big dossier on years and such. you seem to have a ridiculous memory bank of cigars. you may have been asked this before but can't remember.

after a few months of rest, these have turned for the better.

Bdeuce nah it's just info gleaned from my incessant habit of buying boxes I don't need and aimlessly browsing cigar forums in support of said habit.

Punch Serie d'Oro #1 RE UK's are reeaeally a nice smoke. '08 Regional. Thanks to the GBP for making a box tree fiddy.

As for that second part, all I can say is that I hope fcuknu isn't a chompper.
