Hi can anyone help me decipher this factory code on a pair of churchs brogues I inherited please?
Very sloppy handwriting from Church shoe nowadays....Looks as if the worker had a hang-over.
Anyway, it says 90G100.
This mean a size UK 9 in a G fitting (Wide) on the 100 Last.
I think that these are from prior to Church's change of ownership but thanks for your help. Can you make out the style from this writing?
Send a picture of the whole...shoes
yeah, srsly. We're not magicians.
Could be the Chetwynd 9-EEE (G)
In Brown #14 Nevada calf (discontinued color).
Okay sorry I take that back. You are a magician. I've seen photos of your repairs. I'm not sure how you manage to recraft a shoe better than the makers who have the original last, but if I ever need a shoe taken care of properly, it's going to you.
I was agreeing with you that it's impossible to know what style the shoe was without a picture of the whole shoe.
Here they are
Can anyone confirm these are the chetwynd's suggested by Nick V please? Many thanks
yes they are.
Since this thread is fairly new I'd like to just add another request rather than open a new thread to identify a Church's shoe.
Is this on the 73 last? Is this model still produced? Thanks so much in advance.
100 F on the bottom. Size or last?
It's UK size 10 in "F" fitting on last 73. Can't make out the word stating the model but the shoe itself looks like Chetwynd. It's a very old pair as evidenced by the half linen / half leather lining. Last 73 has long been replaced by last 100 which in turn was replaced by last 173. My understanding is that you can still get them made with their MTO programme.
