I saw a pair of Churchs boots today and I noticed tha ton the inside it said made in Italy? Are Churchs made in Italy shoes inferior to their normal made in England ones? It was a pair of chukka boots for about $160 and I am woundering if they are worth it.

Isn't Chuchs now owned by Prada? which may explain the made in Italy tag?

Churchs are owned by prada I think, I have also gathered from people on this forum they are overpriced for the quality now, although I do not own any so I can not comment you might want to search around I am sure there were some threads about it.

Church's have historically had some products 'made in italy' even prior to the Prada takeover. I recall seeing exotic skins like lizard & even elephant branded in this way & more recently (~ 10 years ago) their Mocassins / Tod-like driving shoe ranges were also Made in Italy. I don't own any of these so can't comment on their quality.

That sales assistant said they were mocassin construction or something. Is that even possible for a boot?

I can ensure that church made shoes and boots in Italy. I know the companies that work for them.

The price seems strange....too much low......Maybe depends on the Models....

I know they are real, just on deep discount. It has a weird sole as well, the sales assistant said its a cupped sold or something. There were no signs of stitching on the bottom.
