I really like these. The quality is good, the fit is near perfect, they are comfortable and the look is very clean. The soles are rubber, but I don't think I care.

The only problem is, today I went out to get a light, brown jacket, brown boot cut jeans and black boots. Instead I come back with brown boots and 14 pairs of socks! (I go through them really quickly)

I didn't spot the shoe Appreciation thread, if people feel this should go in there, I'm happy to repost in that thread and for this to be locked.

I just looked at the box, these are width D. No wonder most shoes seem to wide for me. Searching Barker's website, they don't appear to have any D width shoes in their current range

Info on the box says Chukka Walnut Calf 6777DW11

I like that boot allot. I have been looking for something like that in Cordovan to wear on rainy days with odd trousers, but have had any luck yet.

I'm not usually a chukka person, but these look pretty nice. I also saw some pretty nifty chocolate brown suede ones with dainite soles in Bally the other day (Scribe line I think). Maybe I'm slowly being converted...

I would recommend buying more tapered/slimmer jeans though, you can hardly see the boots.

Thanks! I like a wider bottom on jeans. Boot cut for those, straight for suits.
