Toasty that kaftan looks awesome. Wish I'd gotten one.
Almost the same, but without the droopy shoulder drop.
I've tried it on in a smaller size and it was very similar fit to my actual size as noted above.
I think to get rid of the shoulder drop entirely you'd probably have to size down twice, like the Carson Street model who is 6'5" and wears a 46. It's too much IMO, especially since the sleeves become too short.
I picked up the black wool tee from Neighbour and the strap boots from Suspension Point. I wanted to get the five-pocket pants but someone nabbed the last 46
Thank you snagging the last shirt in size 46. I wanted it, but now I get to keep more money in my pocket for next year.
Hey, there's still a 46 at La Garconne. Burn that money!
Discount ain't steep enough at the moment. I should've never held back when LVR had their black friday sale...
Thanks that's what I'm hoping for. Measurements between consecutive sizes don't seem to vary too much.
Here are all my CL buys from this season in an outfit. Apologies for the barren background, I just moved in today. Very happy with everything though I will get the pants hemmed a bit.
-Kaftan Coat Grey Wool sz. 44
-Long Wool Tee Black sz. 46
-One-Pleat Pant Black sz. 46
-Strap Boots sz. 43
I am 5'11" 148 lbs if this helps anyone.
I would shorten the pants a little
Looks great! I'm considering the LS tee myself. Where did you purchase yours? And are you normally a 46 jacket? Because I like the drop shoulder on the long sleeve tee on you but realize you got the kaftan coat in a 44.
Yes, I am normally a 46, sometimes even a 48 for outerwear. A sz. 46 Kaftan probably would've fit me fine but I wanted the shoulder drop to be fairly slight. I really like the long sleeve tee. I've been playing around with wearing it untucked as well. It drapes beautifully and the shoulder drop gives it an angular kind of fit in the arms that is interesting.
Did you pick up the one pleat from SP? I've have my eye on them but the pleat seems really prominent from the pictures and I'm not sure if I can handle it. How do you find they wear?
The pleat is indeed prominent. Very loose in the the thighs with a pretty dramatic taper at the ankle. It's definitely a larger silhouette than I'm used to (mostly wear Acne and Marni flat front trousers).
That more subtle shoulder drop in the second picture works for you. Really like the last two photos with the shirt tucked in.
