I'm really disappointed by my local (rap) radio station. Today they had people call in and give their opinions on what happened. Almost every single person who called basically said that while they don't condone hitting women, Rihanna deserved it since she gave him the herps. (Which in itself is insanely hypocritical) I understand their point that herpes sucks really bad, but that really warrants beating up a woman? WTF is wrong with people???? I also can't believe the DJ was laughing about some really messed up things people were saying.

Needless to say I will not be tuning back to this station in the future.

I like hip hop music but to say that the culture is misogynistic and homophobic is a huge understatement.

    Ok, I said I think.

And I'm correcting you. Now if you could please fix your post, it would be greatly appropriated, thank you.

I think most everyday people would react in a similar fashion. Where I'm currently living in Europe, the story got the same response. Many people believe passing an incurable STD deserves a beat down, apparently.

I like how everyone is sitting on their Captain-Save-A-Hoe horse. That definitely deserves a beat down.

Dude, more than half the adult population has herpes. There would be a lot of beat-downs coming. And HPV infection rates (another incurable STD) are even higher.

FYI in Europe, many of the rates are even higher.

(Waiting for someone to start accusing me of having one or more of these, as that is the typical level of discussion.)

I think BP was saying that people are being extra harsh on CB because he is black. FL said, dude, the guy hit and bit a women, he is a piece of shit, whether he is white or black. I have to agree with him. I find no lower class of man then one that would hit a girl, what is he proving? That he is tougher than her? What do you think the chances are that CB would bite and punch DMX or 50 if CB got pissed at them? Then he also bites her???? That is some straight up bitch shit. No excuses, no "I didn't think things through" crap, he is a little bitch. Of course, all this is assuming that he in fact did what he is accused of or that she wasn't trying to stab him or something. Of course people are going to convict him before any news comes out, that is the price of celebrity.
That's the surprising part, had it been DMX, it would almost have been expected. However Chris Brown was one of the last I'd suspect to succumb to domestic violence. The guy always came off as a MTV-Nickolodeon type of guy, then again, you never know what one is capable of.

This story gets stranger as the day goes on, but hitting a woman is definately a punk move.

That bastard, assualting my celebrity crush! I hope some big rapper dude kicks his face in.

What do you want to see.

Something like the East coast West coast rap war when people were getting killed?

If he did it though, I hope he goes to jail like I would for anyone to.

Too often, celebrities get special treatment.

Well, Brown has famous Mark Geragos as a lawyer. That didn't work out too well for Wynona Ryder.

It does look like herpes, or else Chris Brown already punched her

Cold sores are typically a different kind of herpes.

Jesus, maybe it had been too long since she had her lessons? I mean, haven't we all been in this position before...

Exactly. We've all thought about it at some point or another. Once my gf was at the top of a stair case and I wondered what would happen if I just hip checked her playfully.
