I made a few changes. Changed the buttons to horn from the white plastic it had. Had the length shortened by about 1/2 inch and the sleeves shortened enough to show 1/2 of shirt cuff. The shirt I am wearing has sleeves that are about 1/2-3/4 inch too short, so that is why you can't see cuffs. It's a very slim fit and the cashmere molds to my body very well so I like it a lot althoguh I realize that to many it will seem like its too tight. It's probably a bit tighter than I would get a suit jacket made but I think it works here in a very Italian sort of way. I'm standing funny in the pics and the photographer is my 7 year old so the pics ain't great.

Did the jacket come with working buttonholes? If so, was there just enough fabric to shorten the sleeves without affecting the buttonholes?

Yes and the sleeves were shortened from the shoulder and the "roping" left in tact.

I don't think the sleeves are too long as much as the shirt sleeves are too short. With a normal shirt length these will show 1/2 inch of cuff.

I would probably let out the waist a slight bit (or increase my daily run by a mile or so a day <g>).

The back is not draping very well and the vent(s) is/are gapping. This may be helped by letting out the waste a bit. On the other hand, perhaps it is unlined and the cashmere is sticking to your shirt.

Actually, the jacket is unlined in the back and I was standing kind of funny. It does not stick to me like that normally although I do need to ocassionally unstick it from my clothes. Also, I'll be taking in my waist

I agree with previous posters about the waist and the vents. The jacket just looks too tight in those areas. What's going on with the fabric around your right shoulder? It looks like the sleeve isn't hanging correctly. Is the jacket too tight around the shoulders or the upper back?

It looks that way but its not. I was just standing weird, shoulders hunched forward a bit. The first pic better shows how the jacket fits around the shoulders, chest and waist. Thanks for the posts, worst case scenario I can let the waist out a bit.

Edit: This jacket also does not drape like a wool one. It's almost like wearing a cashmere sweater.

Are you trying to torture me, Ed? I had nearly forgotten that jacket and then it comes back to break my heart all over again. Looks pretty good in the first pic, and the length looks much better on you than on me:

As the first owner of the jacket, I agree one hundred percent that it's like wearing a cashmere sweater. It's phenomenally soft and unbelievably comfortable.
