Hi I am not sure what pair of boots to get between these. I need advise on what you are getting when you buy one vs the other. Any advise?

Chippewa Teague Tan https://www.chippewaboots.com/footw...crafted-assembled-usa-original-styles/4353TAN

Chippewa Aldrich Tan https://www.chippewaboots.com/footwear/footwear/original/general-utility/1901M26

Thursday Boots Grizzly Wheat https://thursdayboots.com/products/mens-president-grizzly-wheat

I have read the "beginner boot buyer's guide" on the brands. My question is really in the leather quality and what am i buying into or what things should i look at specifically. For instance, The Teague Tan Chippewa boot is made of Horween leather which i know is also chrome tan leather so if i compare it with a thursday boot then why should i spend the extra money? Also you then have the Aldrich Tan boot which i don't see it has Horween leather, so then is that one better?

Any help?

Horween leather will be better, on the third pair it looks like lesser quality which is not gonna age well

Do you know if Horween leather is vegetable tan or chrome? I ask because i got confused when i googled "horween leather" and went to their page and found that they do both types of leather. From my research most people frown upon chrome tanned leather as it is cheap and not well done compared to vegetable tanned leathers. Therefore, I felt mislead to use "horween" as an indicator that its good leather when just being horween leather doesn't mean it is vegetable tanned.

Compared to the two Chippewa boots, do you know how to compare them between each other?

Looks a bit like Horween Dublin or Essex leather (or the distressed version), maybe CXL- any of those are great unless you've got some severe skin sensitivity issues. Of those three I would say the Teague would wear and age best. You might also want to browse the sale at sierra trading post's online shop- they have some great deals on Chippewa and comparable higher end American made boots.
Good luck and enjoy wearing them!
