Chinos length - too short?

Hello esteemed friends,

I would love your input. I have some chinos that I had requested to be hemmed to no break on a loafer. They are clearly a little short, but are they too short such that they look bad (ie high water)? I’m likely in my own head, but a part of me is debating selling them and trying again.

Thank you all for your help.

PS I apologize for the funky mirror

I think they look fine for the loafers & no-show sock look. They might be just a touch short for other types of shoes though.

Perfect length for the sockless look with loafers. Unless you don't like the look yourself I would definitely keep those.

If you are asking such a question, you know yourself you don't like them and it will probably irritate you.
I have one or two pairs of trousers that are just a little shorter than I like when worn with shoes. I usually only wear them with boots.
What you could do is buy another pair and have them made to the length you feel comfortable with, and then make a decision on these. I would hedge a bet you would sell them on.

I think they look a little short, but I want a partial break on all my pants since I have shorter legs. No-break really only looks good on slim fits and longer legs IMO.

I'll echo the sentiment above -- if they bug you enough to ask, it's clear you don't like the way they look. Life is too short to wear clothing that you think looks off, even if you're the only one that notices or cares.
