After reading a couple of old threads it seem Brooks Brothers Milano Chinos got the most positive reviews overall. Anyone have any other suggestions for a chino besides RL, BR, J Crew etc? Would prefer something on the lighter side so I can wear it during summer months as well.

The BB Milano chinos are on sale for $34.75 in their clearance section right now, so I'd go with those.

Otherwise, the best chinos are by Unis.

I would also say that the UNIS 'Gio' is the best Chino (although they are perhaps the most expensive). I have a pair in Marine and they are the best fitting trousers I have ever owned. Albam offer some fine Chinos too. They're very well made and are often on sale at very reasonable prices.

I think he was. I don't know why, though. I have the exact pant I linked to (in stone) and they fit true to size.

Yeap. The Milano cut chino is very tight. I am a 32, I had to size up to 33.

You don't need to "size up" for the Milano. They are cut true to size, so just order your waist size. Most pants are not cut true to size though, so people are used to sizing down to get a proper fit.

Good post and hint, but now Im pissed they do not have my size. I will take this as a hint to always keep my eyes peeled on BB sales. $35 for a good pair of chinos, that is one heck of a deal.

Thanks for the responses. I ordered 4 pairs and went a size larger in the waste. I can always have them taken in if need be.

Try calling the sales line. They didn't have my size online, but the woman I spoke to called the stores and is having them direct ship the pants to me.

I'll second (or third) what others are saying. Do not size up for the BB Milanos. They are true to size.

I've worn J. Crew, Banana Republic, and Brooks chinos. Brooks are by far the highest quality of those and have held up well.
