ok, first off this isn't meant to be a B/S post, so i hope i'm not in the wrong forum. on to my question...

i've heard stories of people buying high quality suits, shirts, etc for cheap in china, hong kong, etc. These days when I see a nice shirt I think to myself 'hm that's a nice shirt but no way in hell am i dropping $400 on a shirt that probably won't fit well anyway in this economy.' which got me thinking....are there any services that exist where i could send a photo of said shirt to the above-referenced third-world clothiers and receive a high quality replica via mail for, say, 25% of the original's price? maybe a long shot but I thought if anyone would know it would be this forum... cheers

Any online tailor can do just that. Other than fit, fabric, and construction, it will be no different. Actually, fit may even be improved compared to an off-the-rack luxury shirt.

so you're saying it won't be anything alike, but it will probably be better. ok I can accept that - however, what if I want a close match on the fabric? any ideas?
