Ruby-Foos in Times Square perhaps? Not my cup of tea, but out of towners seem to like it.

two very good szechuan restaurants:
Szechuan Gourmet, 39th st btw 5th and 6th
Wu Liang Ye, 48th st bet 5th and 6th

one cantonese:
phoenix garden, 40th st btw 2nd and 3rd
