I've walked past this unassuming shop on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland many times; I finally stopped in and talked briefly with the owner and master tailor, Mr. Moon. The shop is exclusively made to measure and alterations. No RTW. He had a large collection of fabrics in stock, and can order many more. Suits start at $1,400, and go up depending on fabric. This is obviously very reasonable, but a search of the forum didn't turn anything up. Does anybody have any experience with this shop and this tailor?

I've used this guy for alterations on my nicest stuff and he always does a good job. Him and the woman he works with (wife?) are both very nice. That's all I can tell you. On a related note I live 3 blocks from there.

Damned Bethesdeans.

I was looking to get a townhouse there... and then I saw the prices and cried a little inside.

I seem to recall a thread on this shop elsewhere on Andy's Forum but couldn't locate it. The tailor I use in the Washington, D.C. area is William Field in Georgetown and I asked him about bespoke recently when I was considering one with H. Lesser wool. Right now he is working on my Gieves Hawkes overcoat and all the alterations he has done for me are absolutely impeccable quality and done promptly.
