Even if they last a season or two, for that price, who cares. They look nice.

But for under $150 you could possibly find some other ones at Nordstrom rack or Sax Off Fifth that were a little better quality than Aldo.

I have seen some Cole Haan or J&M that would be at least one step up from Aldo IMO.

And buy a new pair next year when the glue fails on those jobs. Or you could spend five times as much on a pair of RM Williams Chelsea boots made of top quality leather and Goodyear welted soles that will last the rest of your life (with proper care).

Disposable fashion will not only look like shit (good luck keeping that corrected leather shiny) but is not even ultimately a good deal.

Agree, particularly about the leather not taking a shine. I have a pair of Cole Haans that will not take any kind of wax or creme. It just slides off. I just wear them around the house.

There is a middle ground. I have a Steve Madden GQ collaboration (black) Chelsea that was advertised for $230 in GQ and I got for $100 on Amazon. They are real leather, shine up great and I get compliments all the time.

I have another pair I got on JackThreads when they were white labeling shoes and (they are brown), real leather and the bottom is not falling off at all after a year and half of wear. They shine up great and once again, compliments all the time. They were retail $120 and I paid $50 on clearance. And they are comfortable.

I have found shoes as low as $50 that are full grain leather on sale.

While $400-700 boots are great, there are some alternatives that are not trash.
