Well, if his penchant for death metal is actual, then very possibly- Cannibal Corpse is a well known act, as death metal goes.

That is what I was thinking; although my understanding is that in that scene CC are considered to be a bit of a joke that has run too long. Plus there are only so many badly drawn gore album covers you can do before the novelty wears off, hehe.

Anyway, I enjoy metal in the same way I enjoy HK blood operas, for the bombast and utter refusal of irony, but I've never understood how those who are really in the metal scene distinguish between what's an overdone joke and what's not.

Yes. He once apparently posted something desecratory about the late RJ cat there. I didn't bother to look.

I never bothered getting in to it, although some crossover stuff (and some grindcore) occassionally piqued my interest. Always had more a thing for electronics than the traditional "rock" ensemble, anyway :)
