Cheapish source for argyle/patterned socks?

I kinda like argyle/heavy patterned socks. Tend to match the pants color to the main sock color, and the other sock colors to my shirt, yeah a bit whatever...

Anyways, kinda hard to find a source on the somewhat cheap. There doesn't seem to be much between the eBay $0.75 a pair and the $35 a pair on Amazon.

Ideally they'd be merino wool (best sock material on the planet), but I suppose a cotton or bambooish blend would be fine. Best "deal" I've found are argyle Pantherellas for $10 a pop.

Target looked to have some decent ones for $2.50 a pair, may wait for them to go on sale (surprisingly large selection).

Anyone have any pointers?

I looked at the ones at Target. They are (if memory serves) 75% cotton/25% spandex(or the like). Not bad looking and a decent variety, but rather thin. Personally, I'd wait for deals on merinos, either here or when Brooks has a sale.

I see argyle socks every where I go.

Cheaper options include:

Old Navy
Gap
Target
Express
Steinmart
Century 21
Kohl's
All of the mall staples including: Macy's/JC Penny/Sears
etc etc.

Most retailers seem to be privy to carrying them these days. I can't personally vouch for the quality of each, but rarely do I see the price go above $6 per pair.

They've got some gorgeous RL's for a bit cheaper ($7.99?), I think
