Cheap places to buy Corduroy jeans/pants?

What color cords do you like with your sportcoats?
And where do you buy them?
I am not concerned with premium labels or the SF myth of "durability".
In my world, $30 pants last as long as $500 pants.

I want to get some more pairs of cords that I can wear with a sport coat and wingtip boots.
I have black, tan, and maroon. Using the hell out of them, and I want more.

I picked up a bunch of pairs for $30-$35 last fall.
JCrew, NordRack, etc.

But, now they're $75.

Land's End is priced better.

What are some other options?

Given the massive amount of polyester in $30 pants, they are probably more durable.

When I thought that I would wear cords, I bought a pair from LE. Turns out I don't like wearing cords and they were worn once. They seemed alright, though in general I'm not a fan of the fit of LE trousers

You seem to have a very low standard and your assertion "I am not concerned with premium labels or the SF myth of "durability"." renders your enquiry superfluous here.

EBay or charity shops would appear to be your best option.

The GAP brands ( GAP, Banana Republic, and Old Navy) and their respective Factory Stores and Outlets have a pretty wide variety of 100% cotton choices. Picked up 2 pair from the Banana Republic Factory Store for right around $35 - sale ends Monday

I can't imagine Reevolving shopping for clothes anywhere other than Costco.

I have moved from the standard SF groupthink. It took a while to figure out that almost everything touted on SF pretty much leads you to dress like a 90 year old professor or Pee Wee Herman & Erkel. In other words, most people here look like complete asexual buffoons in real life.

So, for the last few years, JCrew and BR are pretty much where I get my OTR real-world tailored-fit outfits. My last 2 sport jackets that I wear the heck out of are from HugoBoss Orange and Land's End (slim). Two brands that are crapped on by the people here who think dressing like Phil Donahue is rugged and sexy.

40% off at checkout?
Things brings the $70 pants down to $42.
Nice. That's within range of not getting ripped off.
Picking up 4 pair. Great call.

I don't think this side of the forum spends all that much money on jeans (certainly not $500); when you were talking about 30 dollar pants, this is why I assumed trousers (though I don't think that even Incotex hits 500 on anything). Seems like the other side of the forum would be the place to gripe about overpriced jeans/talk about reasonably priced jeans.

Most of my jeans are from Banana Republic; I don't mind paying full price, but it's definitely a bonus when they are on sale. I've not had any jeans from J Crew, but I like their shorts quite a bit. I wear those brands almost exclusively when not in a jacket and tie. I'm guessing this makes me very white

This thread will shed some light about why I think most SF outfits make people look like buffoons at the office.
http://www.styleforum.net/t/326622/...ess-in-favor-of-toned-down-sharp-casual/0_100

Most of the stuff that is SF "approved" either looks comically dorky in real life and/or is overpriced.
The greatest irony is that they are anything but stylish.
They look like they belong on the set of a Jane Austen period piece.
I mean look at these people. No offense, but they are dressed like court jesters,
not the captains of industry they think they look like.

Do you ever think you might get a more useful response if you didn't sound like a complete cock?

I really want to see a Jane Austen film where the costumes look like that. Who says anybody thinks they're a captain of industry, anyway? Are there captains of industry left? I read an obit for a German guy who called himself the last of the steel barons a few weeks ago.

Lands' End is fine with me, but the fit isn't perfect. I have some from Old Navy, but I doubt they'll last a season.

"It was Mr Darcy's innovative way with loafers that first brought him to the attention of the young ladies of Bellingham Hall..."
