I need a couple cheap(<$30) slim fit dress shirts. Any suggestions on department stores or outlet malls where I could find some? Even the dress shirts at Macy's are over $40...

Thanks.

Meh. Cheap OTR shirts are trouble. But if you insist, try H&M. The quality is decent enough and the fit is passable. Too bad the collars are tiny and not really suitable for wearing with a tie.

Best bet would be to check the sale rack at a place like Gap.

Have a few brooks ones in my sig :p

but H&M has a few otherwise i'd try places like ebay. Cotton prices surged so thats why you see dress shirt prices high that aren't cheap polyester ones

Thanks for the replies so far. Is it best to get 100% cotton?

TM Lewin has pretty frequent 5 for $150 (or so) sales, and they're currently running their standard 4 for $144 sale. Also, Thin Red Line is having their end of season sale, $25 plus shipping. Somewhat limited patterns, but they do have a few staples right now. Neither is super-duper slim fit by SF standards, but much better than average US cuts. Both are worlds better than department store stuff in that price range. I don't normally like to tell people to stretch their budget, but in this case, spending a few extra dollars really make a big difference. I barely wear any of my mall brand shirts since I upgraded.
