1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

In your expert opinions, would these shoes go with a dark grey Lazio suit from Suitsupply for a wedding with a white shirt and black tie?

or be safe and go for the single monk from Church's

I'm going to move your thread to the new Menswear Advice forum, where it will have more visibility, and where other members can benefit from your question.

Frankly, neither is a "classic" choice for a pair of basic shoes for a suit. You might want to look at a black oxford (with closed lacing). How about something like the Alfred Sargent "Hunt":

    Thank you for the advice.

I have a couple of pairs in that style but as it was a wedding, I wanted to try something a bit more un-conservative.

I did try a double monk but where I have size 6UK feet, they didn't look as good as I was hoping.

    Maybe a wholecut?

Sure, why not? I like wholecuts, and they an unusual and interesting style. How about a pair with a medallion?

So do I, I was just about to pull the trigger on some C&J ones when the Church factory in Northampton just phoned me and said they have just had in the Church Westbury single monk in my exact size 5.5 which is rare for £200 which is half price. It was an offer I couldn't refuse...
