Anybody know of a chart showing range of sizes and meters of cloth needed for:

trousers only
sport coat only
two-piece
three-piece

etc?

Depends on your height and width, and the pattern of the cloth (if any) and it's size. And the intended garment.

This question has been annoying me for the past couple of days since I too wanted to find the answer. Unfortunately I have yet to find a chart. I did find this thread though - http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=77536.

It would be cool if there was an Excel spreadsheet or something where you could input your various measurements and a total amount of fabric required would be generated. It could even take into account different patterns too, eg. window pain at 2" = +5% of total area, 1" houndstooth = 3%, etc...
