I've purchased CT shirts in the past so I understand their quality level. For me they are "good enough" for day to day wear and give me the Jermyn Street look that I'm after.

Anyone familiar with this new line? I've had a look online and I can't figure out what the difference is between the old slim fit line and this new Black Label slim fit line. Size? Cloth quality? Collar shape or size? Silhouette?

Or, is this simply a rebranding of the slim fit line with no difference at all?

Thank you.

A short thread on AAAC, not much info so far, but at least somebody has one and might answer questions: CT "black label"

I suspect it's mostly marketing, and a slightly different design of their 'regular' slimfit shirt ... at a significant price bump. "Ooooh, Black Label ... sounds exclusive!!" ... so guys pony up the dough. Meh.

They have said nothing about cloth quality (unless I missed it somewhere) so don't expect better than the basic 2-ply 100s. As a basic rule, do not look for any good thing from a CT product that they do not trumpet themselves. You want real MOP buttons? ... only if they actually say so. You want 'made in England' or 'made in Italy' ... only if they say so. Their silence means 'no'.

(As an aside, in their mail catalogue, they list their 6 or so calf-leather shoes as "made in Northampton, England" ... the rest are "made with skills from Northampton" or some such thing ... har har har.)

Doc4: thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

RJman: I wonder if all 13,551 of your posts are as helpful as "DAFS n00b". Tremendously enlightening and welcoming all at the same time. Please keep up the great work.

PS. I've just entered a remedial after-school program for people unable to spell "Charles" properly. Thought you might like to know.

Thanks, you can do a search and find out. BTW, if you were getting no hits it's "Charles Tyrwhitt" not "Charlse Tyrwhitt".
