I'll be in Charlotte visiting some friends and taking in some live music from other friends for several days in about a week.

I know there are several clusters of decent stores. Does anyone have particular recommendations?

The SouthPark area is a good place for clothes shopping. Â Paul Simon Co. at Morrocroft Village (Sharon Rd. at Colony) is a great store with brands like Brioni, as is Taylor Richards & Conger at Specialty Shops at the Park (Morrison Blvd, opposite Hecht's) with clothes from John Varvatos, Armani and Zegna, among others. Â SouthPark mall has upgraded a lot recently and features Lacoste, Burberry, Tommy Bahama, and Louis Vuitton, along with Nordstrom and a really well-stocked Belk
