I'm going to have some time at the CDG Paris airport this weekend, and am severely short of clothing. Can anyone comment on the airport shops/ boutiques in the various terminals? I'd really like to pick up a decent buttondown sport shirt and maybe a pair of brown loafers/ some type of good travel shoes.

Thanks!

thanks! Anyone visited the stores in terminal 2E? What should I expect/ do some of the shops (i.e. prada, and I think i saw they have ferragamo??) have mens shoes-- or is it just womens purses?

There are occasional gems. Milan Malpensa has a Gallo sock and knit tie shop.

I was there a few years back. I believe they have an Hermès store.

I was there last summer and seem to remember some decent shops and that Ferragamo did have mens shoes. Don't remember if that was in 2E or 2F though.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. There are LOTS of Altea ties for 25 euros, and Polo polos for 35 euros. The Hermes wasn't on sale, but everything else was 50-75% off. I contemplated the Altea, but I have so many ties already. Some nice Longchamp at 70% off as well. This is good stuff at a great price, why all the hate? I even got a half bottle of cote du rhone that didn't suck for 8 euros AT AN AIRPORT.

thanks for the input-- no, it isn't a joke. I'm traveling thru CDG enroute to the USA, and I desperately need some new duds for/ on the trip. I'm working overseas, and my northface hiking shoes, epaulet-shirts, and cargo pants aren't going to get me very far.

In fairness to the other passengers, I really need to trash my shoes and buy a new pair at the airport-- I was hoping for a purchase I would actually enjoy using in the future, like tods/ ferragamo/ maybe hugo boss, and a good buttondown sport shirt or something. I'd read a little about terminal 2 having some high end shops, was hoping they had a thomas pink or something similar.

Unfortunately, I don't think my first stop (Jordan's international airport) has much more than a starbucks and some trinkety gift shops

, so it's CDG or nothin.
