Hey, Peeps:

I'm in the middle of a rebuild of my waredrobe and was thinking of getting some gear that gives back (I'm feeling generous, haha). What cool brands are out there that give back to the community/charity? I heard of a few of them ( Toms.com, GoCogo.com, Sevenly.org) but are there any others out that. Maybe some that are more streetwear oriented?

Thanks in advance!

This is a difficult question. If you look around enough, almost every brand (especially well known ones) have given to charity from a sale, a fundraiser, etc. Brands like Toms and such make a big point of it. You could also just buy what you want and then donate to a charity and the effect would be the same.

It may not fall into the "charitable" category, but Apolis is a clothing company whose mission I admire.

Additionally, their clothes that I've owned are well made and look good.

Sole Rebels are an entirely fair trade / ethical footwear line made in Ethiopia.

People Tree, a fair trade and sustainable fashion company based in the UK, do a good line of basics for men (better for women).
