I'm moving soon, and trying to sell some things I don't think I'll wear that much or don't fit in that well with my wardrobe.

Up for sale is a Chapal A-1 flight jacket that I ordered through Bench and Loom. I wore this during the fall of last year and this spring and is still in excellent condition. There is some minor pilling on the neck and bottom ribbing but other than that has been kept in a garment bag and well taken care of.

Description from Bench and Loom:

The “father of all flight jackets.” The A-1 was adopted by the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1927 and was the first official jacket in the history of U.S. aviation, synonymous with famed pilots Charles Lindbergh and Jimmy Doolittle. The first “wind cheater” of its kind, the historic original was made with 100% worsted wool knit collar and cuffs, not to mention its durable yet supple leather hide, cut in a sleek, stylish fit – both utilitarian and handsome. Chapal’s recreation is true to the original in style and is a stunning 3-season piece.
  • Genuine vegetable tanned leather body
  • Thick, supple sheepskin ages beautifully
  • Wool knit collar, waist and cuffs
  • Poplin cotton interior lining
  • 2 exterior / 2 interior pockets
  • Perfect with a tie, like Lindbergh, or with a T-shirt, like McQueen
  • Made in France

Measurements (should work for a normal medium or slim large):

Shoulder (back): 19"
Chest (pit to pit): 22"
Sleeve (shoulder end of cuff): 26"
Back length (with ribbing): 25.5"

Normal retail is $3000 and a 4-6 week wait time. Price includes shipping (tracked and insured for the full amount) anywhere in the US and fees. Price is firm. PM if you have any questions.
